As the summer holidays are fast approaching, I wanted to update everyone on how we’ll be working this summer. There will be no Covid restrictions in place and you definitely do not need to book to shop with us, just turn up. We will, of course, be monitoring the number of local Covid cases and will not hesitate to reintroduce social distancing measures if we feel it is necessary to keep everyone safe.
We will be open 6 days a week as usual.
As a business, we take about 80% of our annual turnover in the summer holidays, we get exceptionally busy, especially in the last three weeks of the holidays, so please avoid shopping with us at the end of August.
Don’t worry about shopping too early and your child having a summer growth spurt. If you need to exchange items at the end of the summer, that’s never a problem, we will always exchange items for you, subject to them being in stock. To offer additional reassurance, we’ve got many years experience of in doing this and when your child’s uniform is fitted, we always allow for plenty of growing room.
The vast majority of our stock is ordered at Christmas and delivered throughout June/July. As the summer goes by, we can and do sell out of certain items. We obviously replenish daily as the summer goes by, but if our suppliers also have an item go out of stock then you may end up not being able to get the uniform you require for September.
On a different note, we are now well known for our brilliant team of young staff! This year we have our biggest team yet, 11 amazing staff members, 9 of whom have worked with us in previous summers, so you’re guaranteed to be in capable hands when you shop with us.
